Just wanted to keep you posted on things around here. Yesterday Brooke, Kris and I went up to Port Elgin ( about 20 minutes north ) and did a little shopping around town. We found some cute stores and a great coffee shop. I think we will survive without Starbucks :)
Matt left here about 3:30 yesterday to head to Detroit. He was staying in a hotel for the night so he could get his flight out this morning. He is headed to Tri-Cities for work. He is still involved in a project there and will be making trips back about every 6 weeks or so.
This morning I woke up to about 4 inches of snow on the ground. I have not yet learned how to run the snow blower so after I got the girls on the bus I shoveled the snow the old fashioned way. Took me about 40 minutes to do. Got a good workout!
I got my first call to help out at the girls school last night. I am excited! The PTO puts on a turkey dinner for the kids every year. It is going to be this Friday so I am going to go in and help serve dinner/lunch. I will also be able to hang out a bit with the girls in their classrooms. I am excited to finally be able to get involved more. On Thursday I am meeting some moms to help make the stuffing for the turkeys.
